Christie is the founder of Elevate. Academic Consulting and has almost a decade of experience providing holistic and developmental academic support to students. She has conducted thousands of one-on-one coaching appointments throughout her career at four universities, including UCONN, Quinnipiac University, Central Connecticut State University, and University of Hartford.  During these meetings she empowers students to reach their full academic potential by giving them the learning strategies and tools necessary to be successful. With an MS in Counseling and a Specialization in Student Development in Higher Education, Christie is well versed in evidence based learning strategies and student development theory. She utilizes the appreciative advising framework in her one-on-one meetings with students to get to know them on a personal level and to co-create action steps to help them reach their goals. Christie's goal is to be the mentor and academic support resource she wished she had while navigating through college.
